Hello,
Get a biopsy done so that treatment of the pituitary tumor can be started. Pituitary tumor is treated with medications, surgery or
radiation therapy depending on the stage and severity of the pathology detected. It does not directly cause
vaginal atrophy, but dysfunction of the pituitary can affect the
estrogen production or secretion and hence cause vagina to atrophy.
Severe vaginal atrophy is treated with topical vaginal creams and lubricants. Take
vitamin E capsules, once daily for 10 days. You will feel better. Apply vaginal moisturizers (Replens) to restore some moisture to your vaginal area. Moisturizers last longer than the lubricants.
Applying water-based lubricants before penetrative sex is helpful. Applying vaginal estrogen suppositories and vaginal estrogen tablets, like
vagifem are equally effective. Your treating doctor may recommend treatment with vaginal dilators, to help the stretch of vagina.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
