Hi,
I understand your concern.
Severe vomiting you have is due to effect of
pregnancy hormones affecting GI motility. It depends on your tolerance, which may differ in two pregnancies.
In the beginning you can try to control at home.
- Lie in bed, take rest.
- Try slowly eating dry food items like bisckites/dry fruits( no liquids) -before you get up from bed in morning. Lie down for half an hour & then get up to follow your routine.
You can have tablet of
Pyridoxine on an empty stomach & follow it with your dry snacks.
- Avoid food creating nausea/vomiting.Take
cold milk/ice cream-slowly. this will stop nausea . Now start eating small servings 2 hourly.
- Sip fruit juice /soup of your choice ( while sleeping) slowly.Drink little water through out the day.
- avoid spicy, oily food. avoid caffeine/alcohol/tobacco.
* In case you can not digest any thing , You have to get hospitalized. You need IV fluids with specially sodium & potassium supplements along with injections to control you vomiting .This will be gradually followed by oral medicines & home management of vomiting .
Thanks.
