Suggest Treatment For Sexual Dysfunction While Treating Prostate Cancer
I underwent radiation treatment 3 1/2 years ago for prostate cancer. Although my psa is .3, and need Viagra for intimacy, I have a dry ejaculation. Is it possible to eventually have a normal ejaculate or will those days stay in the past? My oncologist gave me an answer, but I would like another opinion.
Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.
As you might be aware that the semen that comes out during ejaculation, contains secretions from 2 glands. Sperms that are about 10 % come from the testis and seminal fluid 90% that comes from the prostate gland.
As per your history, if prostate gland has undergone surgery and radiation therapy, there won't be ejaculation fluid. it will be a dry ejaculation.
I will suggest you to do Kegel exercise regularly so as to get good and satisfactory orgasm.
For your erection related issues, this exercise will also be of help. Please try to opt for a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise regimen. Have plenty of water and fruit and vegetables and salads in daily diet. Please get sex counseling done and if needed you can use the medicines like Sidenafil (Viagra).
I hope this answer helps you. Thanks. Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar
