the inside of my right ear has pretty sharp pain a lot and my hearing has been harder to do out of this ear. I was at the racetrack about a month ago and a really loud air horn kept going off at random times for the next race to start. im pretty sure this is what made it loss hearing first because it hurt really bad when it went off. I work at a restaurant so its always loud in there so its hard to keep it away from loud noises. when I have earbuds in its definatly quieter in my right ear. what is going on??????
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sharp pain in ear which is because of inner ear infection , otitis media, it could be external ear infection or tympanic membrane perforation. As you able to hear louder it can be due to the blood clot itself or due to trauma to the ear drum causing the bleeding and further damage to the area within. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Avoid pricking it with sharp object. You should put antibiotic drops and canesten drops in ear. Keep ears covered while taking bath and swimming. Take combination of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Go for ear examination completely and check if any audiometery tests required. Doctor may order blood test , CT scan , MRI or hearing test like audiogram.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
