Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath After Lifting Heavy Objects
when i lift something heavy and carry it waist high I am out of breath afterwards and usually will have a small discharge of urine afterwards. It takes breaing in through the nose and blowing out through pursed lips to get my breath back. I am 55 years old and and my height is 5 10 and weight is 215. i have worked as a carpenter for 33 years
Working for 33 years as carpenter must have exposed you to wood and plyboard dust and many chemicals causing the breathing problems. I would advise you the following for this: Consult a Pulmonologist as you need a proper auscultation of chest and other clinical evaluation, X-ray or CT of chest and Pulmonary function tests. This will give an idea about the health of your lungs. A second opinion of an ENT may be required if there are any nasal problems. As for the small discharge of urine after lifting heavy weights indicates stress incontinence and proper evaluation and investigations by Urologist can give you the best possible diagnosis and a plan for proper management.
I hope this answer helps you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
