Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath

2 weeks ago I had a cold this last week I was short of breath all week I went to the doctor this Monday she listened to my heart my blood pressure was good she checked my lungs everything was good. So she had me do some blood tests there wasn t really anything besides high blood sugar and some protein in my blood that isn t supposed to be there. Could this be causing the feeling of rapid heart beat and sometimes not being short of breath?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Yes if blood sugar is very high and protein (acetone) is present in the blood then your symptoms are mostly due to DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis).
In this, uncontrolled high sugars causes hivh protein and acids in the blood.
These cause acid base imbalance, tachycardia, breathlessness, tremors etc.
This condition should be treated immediately because if left untreated, it can cause organ (kidney, heart, brain, retina) damage.
So immediately consult doctor and start treatment for DKA.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
