Suggest Treatment For Shortness Of Breath

Hi, I am a healthy but slightly overweight 41 year old, no problems and workout regularly, however today when I walk or do push ups I get short of breath and dizzy, it feels like I am having to suck the air in. I do have slight nasal allergy today but never been short of breath before.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Here first get your respiratory esmunation with auscultation....

If rhonchi heard then bronchiolitis or COPD or asthma can lead dyspnea....
Investigated with x ray and pulmonary function test....
For lower respiratory infection antibiotic given....
If dyspnea is by bronchoconstriction then bronchodilator might given....

Avoid smoking....
Keep exposure to environmental pollution less.....

Get your blood pressure measurement....

Here as you have dyspnea on exertion I would suggest to rule out cardiac cause like heart failure by.......
ECG
And 2D ECHO....

If suspected pulmonary edema also has to be ruled out......

Hope your concern solved.

Take care....
