Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Zanocin-OZ
Hello Doctor! I am from India suffering from stomach problem and loose motion. My doctor prescribed ZANOCIN-OZ tablets (Ofloxacin 200mg & Ornidazole 500 mg) twice daily. I started taking the medicine from last Tuesday evening. From Wednesday I was having back pain. It became severe on Saturday. I stopped taking the medicine from Saturday evening (the earlier problem of stomach was gone by then). However, the pain is still on, particularly on the lower back around the waist. Can it be the side effect? What should I do? Can I take Ibrufen for pain reduction?

The Zanocin-OZ has some potiential side effects including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache etcetera but back pain is surely not one of them. It might be possible that you may have hurt one of your back or waist muscle while performing day-to-day activities.
I do not believe any routine bacterial infection being the cause of your back pain as you have just receieved a complete antibiotic course.
It is safe to take ibuprofen 400 mg two times a day unless you are allergic to them or having asthma. You can also take muscle relaxant like Dan-MR or Hifenac-MR two times a day, if you are not allergic to them.
If you do not find relief due to these pain relievers, it would be better to visit a physician for physical examination.
