Suggest Treatment For Sinus Mucus Drainage Issue

I am in general good health, age 55, I ve had these surgeries: appendectomy (around age 11), C-section delivered 1 live born child (age 29), Around age 38 I was diagnosed with H-pylori (Helicobacter) bacteria via an Endoscopic biopsy and treated with antibiotics and acid reducer) and Laparoscopy to stomach incision due to scar tissue complications for full Hysterectomy (age 40), ... shortly after this last surgery (within 1 year) I was diagnosed with glaucoma, and began to have sinus mucus drainage issues, dental issues, clearing throat issues, digestive issues, and constant bad breath and mucus film build up on the back of my tongue.... I ve used many dental products and tongue scrapers and more to no avail. .... Question -- What can possibly get rid of such bad breath?

Hello,

I can understand your concern. Bad breath coming from mouth is a very embarrassing and discomforting issue.

There can be many systemic diseases that can cause bad breath from mouth such as sinus issues, persistent cold, stomach problems, kidney problems etc. In such cases, if the underlying systemic disease is not cured, using any dental hygiene product or scraper will not help.

I would recommend you to visit an ENT specialist the sinus issues and gastroenterologist for the persistent stomach issues. After these issues will be solved, you will not have the bad breath problem anymore.

Till then, you can use sugrless flavored gums or mouthwash for temporary relief from the bad breath.
