Suggest Treatment For Sinus Pressure , Headache , Cough And Wheezing

I have been to the ER twice for wheezing, cough, headache, sinus pressure, and very tired. First doc said pneumonia and second said bronchitis. I have taken Cipero, cough meds, albuterol, three steroid shots, and now on oral steroids and allergy meds. I still feel the same. What should I do?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of allergic rhinitis and asthma is more.
Allergic rhinitis is causing you headache, sinus pressure while asthma is causing wheezing and cough.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (pulmonary function test).
PFT will not only diagnose asthma but it will also tell you about severity of the disease. And treatment of asthma is based on severity only.
Albuterol is short acting beta 2 agonist. Instead of this, you will improve with long acting beta 2 agonist (LABA) (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone).
Intranasal spray containing steroids is needed for allergic rhinitis.Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query .I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
