Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my mom is 57 years old. she was feeling week for past couple of weeks and so the family doctor told us to do a chest x-ray. Report said heart is borderline. so he told us to do ECG. ECG Report says Sinus rythm. T abnormality in anterior leads. What does that mean? Can it be treated successfully?
Thanks for asking to healthcaremagic.I understand your concern. Short answer: Treatment not needed Detailed answer: Sinus rhythm means normal rhythm i.e the impulses or the conduction begin from the SA node as it should. So treatment for this is not necessary. You should be little concerned about only the anterior lead T wave abnormalities as it might be a sign of underlying heart disease. But this also can occur in healthy individuals. It would be better to get evaluated further by a cardiologist or at least to follow up regularly with periodic ECG's.Hope i have answered your query. If any further questions, happy to answer you.Take care.
