My granddaughter age6 was born with a skin codition were she gets blisters on her skin, they can get real bad at times specially when the weather changes. Her farther and his oldest son has this problem as well. These blister can develope at anytime and anywhere on the body. My daughter has been told there is nothing can be done. Also have been told that her body isn t producing something that this child has to deal with it. So please if you can offer any suggestions it would be most appreciated.
Hi. As per your case history your granddaughter has impetigo outbreaks. My treatment advice is - 1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and levocetrizine for itching. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
