In the 60 s a burn ointment was used in hospitals - it s a honey color and smell kind of antiseptic - I d like to buy some but cant remember the name - it felt like Vaseline but wasn t - I d like to use it for scrapes but afraid it might not be available
Hi. As per your advice for burns- The ointment you are taking about is a povidone-iodine ointment available as betadine or wokadine ointmnent. It is still freely available. My preferred ointment for a burn would be a silver sulphadiazine cream as it is more effective.
