Suggest Treatment For Skin Infection In Groin Area
I have had recurrent bouts of thrush and stmptoms normally go after pessary cannesten treatment however this time I developed red itchy spots which after a few days have a white centre the itchiness has gone with the pessary but the spots are so painful I can t walk sleep or sit comfortably. Is this an infection or is it because of scratching and infection?
Development of painful red bumps over the groin area could be suggestive of folliculitis . This is basically an infection of the root of hair follicles . Keep the affected area clean and dry . Wash the affected area with lukewarm saline water twice daily. Apply a topical antibiotic cream like neosporin or mupirocin over the lesion twice daily. You might need a course of oral antibiotics if the lesion still tends to persist or increase
