When I hear extreme itching and resistance to treatment for bacterial and fungal infection, I cannot help but think you may have scabies. Eczema is also an itchy rash but I am assuming if you had eczema you would have had it many times and know what it is. Please return to your doctor, explain that the rash is itching quite a bit and have her examine you closely to see if the characteristic burrows of scabies are present. If they are then the treatment is easy and quick. If they are not and the doctor cannot be sure of the reason for your rash, a skin biopsy mat be necessary to examine the features under a microscope for better information.
