Suggest Treatment For Slightly Enlarged Peripancreatic Lymph Node
Hi,
I have sarcoidosis, and was sent for a routine abdominal ultra sound last week. A prominent, slightly enlarged peripancreatic lymph node was seen ( 2.3x 2.8 x1.1 cm hypoechoic lesion). Given that I have sarcoidosis, and have had other swollen lymph nodes ( but not pancreatic ones), my doctor feels it is OK to wait three months and repeat the ultra sound and go from there. What are your thoughts here?
Wait and watch policy is better in my view as we will assess the treatment response and see whether the node has shrunken or has increased in size. This also will give clue to ascertain the efficacy of treatment response
