Suggest Treatment For Slimy Stools After Spinal Surgery

I recently had 2 major surgeries within days of each other.Spinal fusion at L2-L4 and had a kidney removed due to stage 4 cancer.I am having slimy stools at this time and would like to know how much longer I can expect this to continue.It has been 4 weeks since my procedures and I have been home for 12 days.The slimy stool thing has been going on for 4 days now.What should I do?

Hello,

Slimy stools may be due to dysentery, diarrhea, malabsorption syndromes or Irritable bowel syndrome etcetera. Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is.

Please consult your physician so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.
