Suggest Treatment For Small Bumps On The Groin And Buttocks
For the last month I have had bumps, aboout the size of a dime thumb tack that are raised and all but a few have been red. The first week it looked like hives and was around my mid section, groin area, and buttocks as well as my shoulders. I went to the dr. and she put me on a 5 day prednisone. A few days after finishing the perscription it came back in much the same way. Nearly everyday since it will appear somewhere else, knees, elbows, up the insides of my arms. It is always on my shoulders and some in my mid section but not as many. Today there were bumps on my chin and one eyelid had one and my eyelid was swollen. They itch most of the time. The dr. thought allergy but I have ruled out all possibilities and she also said maybe stress. Any thoughts?
Hello Thanks for the query. Probably you have developed fungal infection. Your description matches with that. A combination of oral and topical antifungal medication works well. I treat such cases with oral fluconazole weekly once and topical clotrimazole cream twice daily for a month. It is safe and effective. Please meet a dermatologist and discuss regarding this. Let me know if you have any other doubts. Thank you.
