Suggest Treatment For Small Burning White Spots On The Tongue

I have had white spots in the ridges of my tongue and on the end of the taste buds. I have some medication that I have been using for over one month and the spots are still there. There is some burning at times on the tip of my tongue. I have "popped" the white spots on the tip of the taste buds and the white spot comes off like a pimple.

Thanks for the query..

As per your complain it seems that you have APTHOUS ULCERS or CANKER SORES which can be due to number of reasons like Nutritional Deficiencies (iron, Vitamin B12 and folic acid), stress,acid reflux, allergic reaction to certain medications, taking excess of sour foods etc..

As the ulcers are not resolving you should take a steroid course as it is the treatment of choice in ulcers that does not heal by other remedies.Take Prednisone 10 mg twice daily for 5 days..
Do warm saline gargle..
Soda bi carb gargles can help..
Apply milk of magnesia over the sores..
Apply an antimicrobial ointment over the sores like Hexigel..
In case of pain you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and can apply numbing gel like Oragel over the ulcers..
Take a multivitamin daily for 15 days..
Avoid hot,spicy and sour foods..
In case if still it does not resolve you can consult an oral physician and get evaluated..
