Suggest Treatment For Small Dark Spots On The Face

Hi doctors, I am male 24years moderate brown color face and have some dark spot on face to get some brightness i have start using skinbrite and betnovate n at night for last 7 days. Pls suggest whether it will really work or cause any side effect. I also have some cut marks on face how can i remove that? ?

Hi. You could not probably do more harm to yourself than using skinbrite and batnovate. Both of them have steroids and steroids use on face is associated with serious adverse effects like redness, increased hair on face, skin atrophy, increased sensitivity to sun and even water, and red bumps. Do yourself a favor and stop all these creams immediately without any delay... before its too late. Some of these changes on steroid abuse may be permanent. Consult a dermatologist for assessment of face as there are many causes for dark spots on face. Meanwhile, apply kojic acid 2% twice daily. Hope it helps
