Suggest Treatment For Small Dry Red Patches On The Skin
My skin has just healed from a severe sunburn and there are a couple of rough red patches of skin where I was burned. I was wondering what these are, how long they ll take to go away, and if there is anything I can do to speed up the healing process.
I have assessed your description and think that problem is due to sunburn only and the recovery phase can show up with picture similar to yours. The patches signify areas of skin peeling that have not yet regained normal skin color and texture. It should take a couple of weeks for such patches to appear. To hasten recovery, you might feel like using a Hydrocortisone or Clobetasone cream mixed with moisturizer.
An important precaution for you is to stay away from sun exposure but not to use a sunscreen until healing is complete as sunscreens are meant for normal skin and are intended to protect but they do not heal already damaged skin
Our best wishes!
