Your query is appropriate. Strict vigilance is necessary if you have been operated previously for breast cancer. But the is no need to be anxious. Lymph node enlargement is also a sign of infection and may not always suggest carcinoma. You should palpate the breast carefully to find out if there is a mass or lump in the breast. Palpate all the quadrants. Also palpate the axillary anterior and posterior wall and deep in axilla. You may need a mammography. Consultation with you previous doctor is necessary.
