Suggest Treatment For Small Pink Color Bump On The Back Side Of The Head

Hi, I have a small pinkish squishy bump on the back of my head. It hurts when pressure is applied and is starting to effect my back and neck. I have the worst headaches lately and ever time I close my eyes they just ache. I hope it s nothing serious. Thank you

hi. I have read your question and understand your concern.

the small painful bump that you are talking about can be either a folliculitis or furuncle. they both are bacterial infections. back of the head is a common site for them.

if such a patient visited my clinic I would prescribe a course of antibiotics like tab augmentin 625 mg thrice daily for 7 days along with mupirocin cream.

your other symptoms of headache and eye ache seem unrelated.

I suggest you see your physician for a prescription for antibiotics and also to discuss about your headache.

hope this helps. for any further questions please get back to us. thanks.
