Suggest Treatment For Small Reddish Blisters On The Back

My brother had a heart stint recently (7 days ago) and he s having several problems. Last night his entire back broke out in red coloration looking like it has blisters. His leg from the thight down is completely black and he had a reaction to one medicine which he was told was an allergic reaction. Could he have had a contaminated stent put in his body? What s going on. He is 63 years old, white, male.

Hello,

I can understand your concern for the reddish blisters on the back of your brother. After analyzing the query let me reassure you that it doesn’t appear to be related to any medications or any stent issue. In my view it appears to be simple allergic process or due to environmental cause of heat and humidity.
You can get that it is present only on back so it is unlikely to be related to medication or stent.
In my patients I generally prescribe a topical steroid such as cortisone with an antihistamine as interim relief. I suggest you to meet a doctor and take further guidance.
All the best.
