Age 31, height 5ft8.I came down with suspected tonsilitus and given 10 days of antibiotics. The fever cleared up on it s own (day before I went to the doctors) but as my throat and ear still hurt, I still went. They said it may be strep throat but said antibiotics would clear up whatever it was 2 and a half weeks ago and I still have sore throat and blisters on the back (which have never gone away)
Blister on the throat are commonly related to herpangina. Herpangina is a common illness caused by a virus. It's characterized by small, blister-like ulcers on the roof of the mouth and in the back of the throat. The infection may also cause a sudden fever, sore throat, headache, and neck pain. The treatment consists in anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation. I also suggest to gargle with salty water.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
