Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Influenza

hi, last Wednesday, I started having a sore throat and it felt like i had flu syptoms as it was associated with body weakness, join pain and in general unwell, my throat was really red and glances swollen. One night even I couldn t sleep from the pain.. It started becoming better but I noticed on the uvula some white spots as if they are ulcers and when I eat it is sore, especially with an orange. What sort of things are they? Any STD s or from the cold ulcers? Many thanks

Hi

Welcome in H.C.M.

I understand your concern, it appears as you are having acute pharyngitis with ulcer over uvula. As far as STD and sores are concern that may be ruled out by blood investigation (VDRL).

At present you may take-

1- Tab Paracetamol.

2- Warm saline gargling.

3- Antiseptic gel to be applied in mouth cavity.

4- Plenty of fluid orally.

5- Antibiotic (preferably broad spectrum).
