My 16 yr old daughter has had a sore throat. She originally had it a month ago, saw Dr. went on penicillin and it seem to clear up. Now she has had a reoccurrence, left side of tonsils are very swollen, glands on both side are swollen but more so on left side, and she has yellowy-green mucus running down the back of her throat. She had a low grade fever for three days, but today it seems better. She was tested for strep and mono both negative. She does have allergies, and asthma, so the Dr. this time has treated it as environmental allergy and has prescribed, a nasel spray, and a throat gargle to numb for the pain.
