Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Puss Pockets In The Throat
Hi, my daughter is 14 years old. She has a sore throat and puss pockets on the side of her throat. My son had this and now my daughter and I have it. She is complaining of a head ache and she wont go to the doctor. Should I make her go? Or is there anything over the counter I could buy to help?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that your daughter is suffering from Bacterial Pharyngitis also known as Strep Throat and it causes formation of pus pockets as well as sore throat.. You can give her antibiotics like Amoxicillin or Levofloxacin, Anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and using a humidifier in her room so that she can breathe moist air and prevent dryness.. Chewing Vitamin C pellet can help.. Avoid spicy, chilled and hard foods. Drink plenty of warm fluids.. Take ample of rest..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
