Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Swollen Tongue
My21 yr old son is complaining of a sore throat , his tongue feels thick and swollen but doesn t look like it, has NO fever, and has red spots that looks like bruises on his tongue. I can not get him to go to the doctor as his work and college schedule is too full how serious is this?

Sore throat and red spots suggests there is infection in throat.
You need to give him antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines , multivitamins and oral gargles .
I advise to my patients levofloxacin or Augmentin anti biotics.
Then if its recurrent ie occcurs again and again then you need to consult an ENT specialist to rule out the cause.
