Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Cold And Sneezing While Exclusively Breastfeeding My Child
Hallo Doctor. I have a Bacteria infection I presume. It has attacked my nose, sore throat coughing and sneezing for three day now also my eyes get stuck with mucus. I have a 5 month old baby and I am exclusively breastfeeding. At first this infection affected my baby and them transferred to me. It is also causing me fever and headaches. I took Amplicox bachem now because I couldn’t bear any longer. My question is. Will it affect my child who is breastfeeding or do I need to pump and dump the milk produce during this time?
Some medications transfer through breast milk to the infant. This Ampiclox will go through breast milk and may cause diarrhea and stomach upset in your infant. Kindly take some Cetirizine once daily for at least 3 to 4 days to control your sneezing.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
