Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat Prior To Onset Of Menstruation

This has happened for years now. Almost every menstrual cycle, I get a very sore throat just before I start. Sometimes it even turns into a cold but other times, it doesn't. What can I do to prevent this sore throat every month? I woke up today with it and it has got worse all day. I am scheduled to start 3 or 4 days from today. Please help.
