Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Runny Nose And Tiredness

I ve felt tired all the time for the past few weeks, even after a whole nights sleep, i wake up tired and feel tired all day long. I ve also been feeling really achy over the top half of my body, shoulder/neck/upper back ect, and now I ve got a cold: sore throat (affecting my chest slightly) and runny nose. I m a student and really need to get on with my work but I just don t feel up to it.

Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of an acute viral infection. Should get more rest, take plenty of fluids, take antalgesic orally and vitamin C. Do gargle with warm water and salt, and apply oral antiseptic. If the symptoms will get worse or if you'll develop fever, then, should consult with your caring doctor to rule out bacterial infection, and might require prescription medicines.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
