Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat With Red Bumps All Over Tongue

Hi, I currently have a very sore throat, tongue, gums, due to small red and white bumps all over. I also have a very painful ear ache on top of that. I had these same symptoms about 2.5 weeks ago. I was given arithromiazin (sp?) and it worked for a while, but now the pain is back, and it hurts to swallow anything, including my own saliva. Can you help me please!

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your query it seems that you have Throat infection leading to Pharyngitis and tonsillitis along with Stomatitis leading to inflammation of the mucosa of the gums and the tongue and formation of apthous ulcers..
Pain in ear can be due to infection in ear and can occur due to throat infection and the infection can communicate to ear via Eustachian tube..
You should consult an ENT expert and get evaluated and he can advise you to get a rapid strep test done for bacterial infection and a rapid mono test for viral infection so that treatment can be done according to the cause..
He/she can advise you to take antibiotics like Levofloxacin or Cephalexin or Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac potassium, do warm saline gargles, and do steam inhalations..
Chew vitamin C pellet daily..
For sores on tongue and inflammation along with warm saline gargles, gargle with a numbing mouthwash for relieving soreness especially during meals..
Take multivitamin tablet daily..
You can be advised antibiotic ear drops for relieving infection and also take decongestant nasal sprays..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
