ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query.
In my opinion, your friend might be having throat infection.
Blood stained orange colour phlegm is normal because of congestion in throat.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs twice daily for 5 to 7 days. Betadine gargling twice daily will help.
All these are prescription medicines, so I would advise you to consult with the doctor and get evaluated. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
