I have had a sore throat for 10 days...it is getting worse and worse...i hate swallowing because there is too much happening in the back to lower throat that hurts. It was tolerable until today...the pain has grown to be furthur down the back of my throat...i am getting small chunks of food stuck in the back of my throat...my stomach is queezy from all the mucus i have been swollowing...my chest is sore because if i lay down i cough a lot...i cough a fair amount besides that too. I have been spraying my throat however that hurts and makes me cough it out. I have had to sleep sitting up. I have not been around anyone i know that has been sick. I have no other signs of a cold...i thought it was allergies but they dont get this severe. I often have bad sore throats because of allergies. Any help
From your complaints it does not look like that your sore throat is due to an allergy and rather it may be due to an infection. please meet your doctor , he will examine you and start you on a course of antibiotics. In the meantime , you can start gargling with warm salt water 2-3 times a day. Take care!
