Hi I ve had a sore throat for about four weeks now it started out as a sinus infection I got antibiotics and finished the cycle. my sore throat came back and I went back to the doctors and she checked my ears and throat and nose and said everything looked fine, however I have developed a cough my sore throat keeps switching sides and moving back and forth and my ears are still popping and achy. should I go back to the doctors or is there anything I can do?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Sore throat for 4 weeks is a long time to suffer. You did took the treatment, got alright to an extent but the coughing is still there. As you have asked for: Yes you should seek for another opinion of an another ENT Surgeon.
There is a lot of things you can do and avoid also; - Nasal decongestant drops - Steam inhalations - Avoid blowing nose - Take bed rest. - Avoid all the allergens, scents, pets.
This will help early and complete recovery when you take proper antibiotics and supportive medicines given by your ENT.
