Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat

Hi, I have a very bad sore throat which started Monday afternoon. Accompanied with high temp. I went to doct she prescribed me cilicaine vk to take 3 times a day for the next 10 days. Howlong before antibiotics kick in? I still have temp it has been 3 days now.

As per your query you have sore throat well these symptoms are due to sinusitis and upper respiratory tract infection. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles 2-3 times a day. You should take steam inhalation twice a day which is very vital in your case. Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxiclav at least for 10 days along with decongestant. Maintain proper hygiene. Drink plenty of water and liquids. Take tepid sponging if it is severe headache.Doctor may order test like swab test , blood test , and viral culture test to rule out condition like acid reflux and strep throat. Maintain proper hygiene and drink plenty of fluids.
