My problem is kind of long, so I apologize in advance. I started getting sick in April with extremely bad nausea, I dealt with it for about a week and then went to my bariatric doctor (I have Lap Band), they seemed to think it was just a stomach virus and emptied my band a little and sent me home. I had a little relief but soon started getting extremely bad burning pain and a punched in my stomach pain, I didn t eat anything and barely drank for 2 weeks straight and ended up in the ER from pain and dehydration. They did x-rays and ultrasounds and found out I had Gall Stones and removed my gallbladder the next day. I went home that same day and felt somewhat better but the pains soon returned so I went back to my bariatric doctor and they were sure I had a peptic ulcer so they started the ulcer treatment of liquid Carafate and Prevacid. About 6 weeks later my stomach pain is almost completely gone but I m still having a lot of uncomfortable stomach growling, bloating, and occasional spasms in both my upper and lower stomach. My bariatric doctor finally referred me to a GI specialist and they schedule an endoscopy for August 13, they claim thats the soonest they can do. So I ve been just dealing with the stomach issues until then which is annoying but I could do it. But the past 1 and 1/2 to 2 weeks I have had a very bad sore throat and extreme pressure, sometimes it feels like my breathing is being cut off and it s extremely scary. I constantly have the sore throat and tightness feeling but it gets worse at night. I went to the ER a couple of nights ago because the tightness felt like it was getting worse and my head started tingling which sent me into a panic. The ER was clueless on what happened and just brushed it off as allergies and gave me a rescue inhaler. I m tired of having to wait for appointments that they literally make me wait for at least a few weeks to a month later. And I m scared to death that whatever is happening to my throat is going to be permanent because of having to wait so long before getting help. I have a Lap Band, had my gallbladder removed in May, and I do have anxiety. Please help.
