Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am an eighty year old male. I had a heart attack in 1987 and have been on meds since. I see a heart specialist yearly and get along good. I am on ternomin and other medications. My blood pressure is good, but my heart rate is often over 100 per minit. my problem for 2 weeks has been weakness and soreness all over even top of my head and bottom of feet. No temp or no fall or reason for soreness. I am very active except last two weeks. because of soreness and weakness.
Hello and thank you for your question. There are many causes for your symptoms. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and see a doctor as soon as possible. Sometimes the medications used to lower cholesterol can cause muscle breakdown and this can be very serious. Please see your doctor soon for blood tests and an exam. Thank you for using HCM
