I appear to have gotten poison sumac a couple of days ago. I woke up to my lips feeling gritty and bumpy and have tiny bumps all over. My face is not too swollen but it feels rough. And I have small sores and bumps on various parts of my body. What do you recommend? Any home remedies that can be used, also?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sores and lumps on the body mainly which seems to be due to allergic reaction and instant response of body to certain stimulus. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with intake of antihistamine medication such as benadryl. You can take Allegra as well and start application of clindamycin gel on these areas. Wash your skin 2-3 times a day with mild soap and warm water to prevent the accumulation of oil ,dust and bacteria on your skin. Apply vitamin E oil at night. Apply cotton dipped in tea tree oil and apply them on scars. Drink plenty of water. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and go for micro-peeling and dermabrasion. You can apply aloe vera gel on them as well. Don't use any cosmetics and hard substances.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
