Hello Doctor ,My son having splint problem in right eye, doctor tried specks 6months and he says improvements are only 60% and we should go for operation. My question is that can we take more chances or go for surgery ,are there any side effects or problems in surgery.
what you mean to express is your son is having squint and you have asked for opinion of surgery. you have not given the age of your son. if the age is bellow ten then some thing like surgery and orthoptic treatment can be done. if he is above ten then surgery will be only cosmetic. he has already developed amblyopia. so improvement is not possible.beyond what is available by specs. there is no side effect I think you have understood the limitation and reason.
