Suggest Treatment For Sprain Or Strain In The Arm While Lifting A Patient
Hi I am 25 year old nurse pulled arm while lifting a patient. Initially diagnosed as sprain or strain. Doctors ran an USG, Xray, and a MRI all results are normal no muscle tear, tendonitis or bursitis detected. Unable to diagnose what it is but pain is still going on and quite severe. Please provide suggestion. On painkiller for last two weeks.
Muscle strain needs a good dose of pain killers such as ibuprofen 600-800 mg every 6 hours after food, combined with 500 mg of paracetamol. Also, physiotherapy may be a good adjunct of the therapy for faster and better recovery.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
