Suggest Treatment For Squeezing Sensation In Head

From time to time I get a squeezing or pulsing feeling in my head, it doesn t last very long but it s annoying, not sure what I should be doing. I am a chiropractor patient and get my neck treated so a lot of my headaches or pain stem from my neck but this is sorta new.

Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM! I appreciate your concern.

I think that your symptoms may be related to a tension type headache caused by muscular contractions or a sinusitis.

I recommend you to perform a routine blood test for inflammation and a sinus xray. I would also advise you to monitor your blood pressure.

If all the above mentioned tests result normal, the most probable cause would be a tension type headache.

Acetaminophen or ibuprofen may be helpful during these episodes.

Hope to have been helpful!

Greetings! Dr. Aida
