Suggest Treatment For Stealth Infection And Hypothyroidism
Hi I am wanting to find out more info regarding the stealth infection & my hypothyroidism. I had my thyroid removed over 10 yrs ago & went from hyper to hypo. I am on 100 mcg of Levothroxyine (sp) still have the problems associated with hypothyroidism. I was inquiring as to many of the symptoms I suffer with (especially the bowel & intestional problems) could be associated & what test I could request to look further into this issue. Thank you
It would be best you repeat the thyroid function test (Free T4 and TSH). Some of the symptoms you have described may be due to thyroid disorder itself. We will first optimize your thyroid and then think of possibility of other problems.
