Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain And Soft Stools With Oily Dots
Hi, I'm 35 yrs old female. About 2 weeks ago I have stomach pain lasted about 3 days and having soft stools with black oily dots and orangy oil floated on the water. Then I came alright after 3 days. But yesterday I have the similar stools problem, black oily dots and orangy oil floated on the water with stools. I'm a bit worry if there is anything with my digestion or gallbladder. Please advise.

Hello and welcome,
The signs and symptoms you experience highly suggestive of gallstone disease. When one eats a high-fat meal the gallbladder contracts and release bile into the small intestine through the common bile duct to digest fats. If there is gallstones in the gallbladder it may dislodge and block bile from leaving the gallbladder or may block the common bile duct. Blockage of bile causes pain, fat indigestion and fatty stools. The severity of symptoms depends on the size and the number of the gallstones. Ultrasonography – is the choice of initial examination in suspected gallbladder or biliary disease. Your doctor may also order additional tests according to the ultrasound results.
I hope the above information will be helpful for you. Please, feel free to ask me if there is anything else you need to know.
Thank you, Malik Amonov MD
