Suggest Treatment For Strep Throat In A Child
my son and daughter were diagnosed with strep type a and have aslo over 700 my son is 9 and my daugheter is 8. I am in Romania until October and the doctor here prescribed penicillin tablets for 10 days then after that she said that they would have to take Moldamin shots every 10 days. I wanted to know if in the states I would probably have to do the same treatment. thank you!

In the US, if this were for a sore throat, we would treat a positive group A strep test with 10 days of penicillin and that's it.
