My 18 year old son got diagnosed with strep throat and was given amoxicillin. It didn t clear it up so the college clinic gave him Azithromycin. After taking it, he went back and they said it looked better and gave him 3 more Azithromycin pills. He has now completed that and still doesn t feel like his old self. He still has some of the white gunk and feels tired. He plays football and is new to college so I expect some of that. What do we do next? Also, the nurse said his tonsil swelling may not go all the way down because of scarring. I had never heard that before. Is that a real thing?
