Suggest Treatment For Stuffy Nose Along With Sore Throat
My daughter has been with a cold for past week. She has alot of stuffyness in her nose, sore throat etc. Lately she has been blowing orange out of her nose. Today she feels sick to her stomach and like she is going to throw up. Is this something she should go in for or let it run its course? Thank you
Hi, she seems to be suffering from cold which has been suprainfected with bacterial and that has lead to colour change of the nasal discharge. The nausea and vomiting can be additional symptoms because of severe cold also or because of generalized systemic effects of bacterial infection. She can take steam and some mucolytic like mucinex along with proton pump inhibitor like omeprazole and paracetamol. If fever comes or the problem persists, she needs to see an ENT and an antibiotic needs to be started. Regards
