Suggest Treatment For Stuffy Nose

I was sick a week ago, and have been feeling well for over 7 days. But still my nose is producing a lot of mucus. My nose isn t running and and I can breathe fine, but if I blow my nose or sniff, huge yellowish chunks of snot come out. This snot sometimes hangs in the back of my throat in a string and I can t swallow it away or anything, and it s really gross. Is this a problem at all, or is it just best to wait it out?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello & welcome to HealthcareMagic forum.

Your clinical history is suggestive of post nasal discharge common in rhino-sinusitis .

If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you

Plenty of fluids , Steam Inhalation twice daily &
Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast combination in night to decrease it .

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
