Suggest Treatment For Subcutaneous Mass In Anal Region

I have a subcutaneous mass next to my anus. I have been referred to a surgeon but can t get in until Feb 19 th. I had an abcess there 2 years ago that had to be packed. I was sent to surgery for a Fistula but when he went in, there was no fistula. Meanwhile I am doing sits baths. Do these usually break open on their own and what causes them?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of surgery for fistula-in-ano 2 yeas back wherein the surgeon could not find any and hence packed off.
Now that you have got a subcutaneous mass next to anus, this can be a granuloma or a fibroma.
There can be an abscess collection or may be a large pile.
If the mass is long standing and if it is causing no symptoms you can certainly wait for the surgeon to see and have clinical evaluation, examination and further management if required.
In the meantime continue Sitz bath, take laxatives to have soft motion, avoid long sitting sessions.
